The Cosplay Runway Show is for every cosplayer who does not want to and/or does not meet the requirements to compete in the Cosplay Contest. This is where you can strut your stuff and show off your cosplay!
- All cosplayers must have a Dream Con attendee badge to participate in contest
- All cosplayers must be 13-years or older to sign up without a parent/guardian’s permission.
- All cosplayers under the age of 13 are required to have a guardian in attendance during the contest.
- Deadline: July 12, 2024 no later than 11:59 PM CST

Participation & Responsibilities
Participants agree to partake in the Dream Con Cosplay Runway Show scheduled for Saturday, July 27, 2024.
- You must possess a valid Dream Con 2024 attendee badge to participate (transaction ID provided in registration form).
- Participants are obligated to attend all scheduled rehearsals, and the event itself on time.
- Each Participant agrees to follow the instructions of the event organizers, safety personnel, and other designated personnel during the event.
- All Participants must be 13-years or older to sign up without a parent/guardian’s permission. Any participants under the age of 13 are required to have a parent/guardian in attendance during all events related to the Show,
Event Deadlines
The Participant acknowledges the following deadlines for the event:
- All contestants must complete their registration by Friday, July 12, 2024, 11:59 PM CST. Late registrations will not be accepted.
- Participants must submit their cosplay for approval to the Cosplay Department no later than Friday, July 19, 2024, 11:59 PM CST. Failure to submit your photos by this deadline may result in disqualification.
- The Participant must attend the mandatory meeting, on Saturday, July 27, 2024 at 6:00 PM CST leading up to the event. Any conflicts must be communicated to the organizers in advance. An email reminder will be provided for participants. Failure to present to this meeting without notifying Cosplay Department Staff may be considered a ‘no show’ and result in your dismissal from the Show. This meeting will cover the expectations of the Cosplay Runway Show.
- The Participant must remain present until the end of the event.
Image Rights & Usage
- By agreeing to these terms, you grant the Organizer the right to photograph, videotape, or otherwise record the Participant’s image and likeness during the event.
- The Participant agrees that the Organizer may use these recordings for promotional purposes, including but not limited to marketing materials, social media, and the Organizer’s website, without further compensation or approval.
- All Participants waive any right to inspect or approve the final products wherein their likeness appears.
Conduct & Professionalism
- Participants are expected to always conduct themselves in a professional manner during the event.
- All participants will adhere to the rules and regulations set forth by the Organizer.
- The Participant agrees not to engage in any behavior that could damage the reputation of the event or the Organizer.
Costume & Props
- All costumes must be family-friendly and adhere to the Dream Con code of conduct.
- Clothing should provide adequate coverage and not be overly revealing. Ensure that all private areas are appropriately covered.
- Your cosplay can be from any fandom including but not limited to anime, video games, comics, and cartoons. Original Characters (OCs) are allowed.
- All cosplayers are required to wear appropriate support garments as needed.
- No offensive or vulgar cosplays (i.e. Hitler cosplays, Black Face, etc.) are allowed in the Cosplay Contest.
Safety
- Your cosplay design must not pose a safety risk to yourself or others.
- You agree to refrain from performing in activities that may endanger yourself or others during the performance.
- Confetti, glitter, smoke bombs, fire, or any other explosive or flammable materials are strictly prohibited from the runway and the performance area.
- Weapons are strictly prohibited and not allowed under any circumstances. This includes, but is not limited to, bats, metal chains, guns, airsoft guns, water guns, and any prop made of metal.
- No jumping or running off the stage! Safety is number one!
- Your costume must be able to walk up and down stairs without issues. Your costume must also allow you to have clear visibility. We do not want you to get hurt or damage your cosplay.
Cancellation & Termination
If you wish to rescind your registration or can no longer participate in the Runway Show for any reason, please email cosplay@dreamconvention.com. The email should include the first name, last name, and email address used on the registration form.
We reserve the right to terminate this agreement and remove the participant from the event at any time for any reason, including but not limited to breach of contract, unprofessional conduct, or failure to comply with event rules.
Failure to comply with the Show rules will result in disqualification and may lead to a ban from the current event as well as future Dream Con Shows and Cosplay Contests.
Liability & Indemnity
By participating in this event, you agree that the Organizer will not be liable for any injury, loss, or damage incurred during your participation in the event.
The Participant agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the Organizer from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses arising out of or related to the Participant’s involvement in the event.
Miscellaneous
This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between the parties and supersedes any prior agreements or understandings, whether written or oral.
